GeoGuessr Bot Mode: Fully Automated Gameplay on GeoGuessr & OpenGuessr
What if you did not have to touch your keyboard at all? Bot Mode is TrustGeo's most advanced feature — a fully automated system that plays your rounds for you from start to finish. It extracts coordinates, places the pin, clicks the guess button, waits for the score, clicks next round, and repeats. You set a duration, press play, and watch the bot rack up perfect scores hands-free.
Bot Mode runs on both GeoGuessr and OpenGuessr, with unlimited automated rounds for Pro subscribers. It is the ultimate GeoGuessr automation tool for players who want to grind scores, complete challenges, or just watch the bot work.
What Is GeoGuessr Bot Mode?
Bot Mode is a fully automated gameplay feature built into the TrustGeo Chrome extension. Unlike manual features like GUESS or AutoPlace where you click buttons, Bot Mode runs autonomously. Once activated, the bot handles every step of the gameplay loop without any user input.
Think of it as autopilot for geography games. The bot reads the round, finds the answer, places the pin, submits the guess, and moves to the next round. It keeps going until the timer you set runs out or you manually stop it.
How the Bot Works: Round-by-Round Automation
Bot Mode operates in a state machine with two alternating phases:
Phase 1: In-Round
When a new OpenGuessr round loads, the bot waits for coordinates to become available. It uses intelligent timing with exponential backoff — starting with a 2-second wait, increasing by 500ms per attempt, capping at 8 seconds. Once coordinates are detected, the bot:
- Extracts latitude and longitude from the page data.
- Expands the Leaflet guess map if it is collapsed.
- Triggers AutoPlace to drop the pin at the exact location.
- Waits 3.2 seconds for the pin placement and zoom animation to complete.
- Finds and clicks the Submit/Guess button automatically.
Phase 2: Score Screen
After the guess is submitted, the bot waits 800ms for the score screen to appear, then:
- Detects the "Next Round" or "Play Again" button on the score screen.
- Clicks it to load the next round.
- Transitions back to the in-round phase.
- Increments the round counter.
This loop continues until the timer expires or you stop the bot.
Smart Button Detection
OpenGuessr uses different button labels depending on language and context. The bot handles this with intelligent regex matching that recognizes multiple languages:
- Guess buttons: "guess", "deviner", "confirmer", "submit", "valider", "jouer", "make guess"
- Next round buttons: "next", "suivant", "continue", "play again", "rejouer", "nouvelle partie", "new game"
The bot scans all buttons, links, and clickable elements on the page, matching text content case-insensitively. It automatically skips disabled buttons to avoid premature clicks.
Duration Control
You control exactly how long the bot runs. The duration selector lets you set anywhere from 1 minute to 120 minutes (2 hours). Use the plus and minus buttons for quick adjustments, or type a specific number.
While the bot is running, the status bar shows real-time updates: the current round number, elapsed time, and what the bot is doing at any moment. Status messages include:
- "Bot running · 5 rounds · stops in 12min" — actively playing
- "Placing pin · Round 6..." — AutoPlace animation in progress
- "Guess submitted · Round 6" — answer submitted
- "Waiting for coordinates (3s)..." — waiting for round to load
- "Finished · 12 rounds" — timer expired, showing total rounds completed
Usage Limits and Tracking
Pro subscribers get unlimited bot runs — the badge on the Bot Mode panel simply shows an infinity symbol. On the free plan you get one bot run to try it out, and the badge shows your usage as "0/1" before turning red once it is used up.
Bot Mode uses a separate usage counter from your regular guess credits. Your guesses are not affected by bot usage, and vice versa. With the Pro plan both are unlimited.
GeoGuessr and OpenGuessr Support
Bot Mode runs on both GeoGuessr and OpenGuessr. The Bot Mode panel appears automatically in the side panel as soon as you are on either site.
On OpenGuessr the bot has an easier job: OpenGuessr uses Leaflet maps, which give the extension direct programmatic control over pin placement and button interactions. The bot can expand collapsed maps, trigger native Leaflet events, and navigate between rounds with high reliability. If you ever prefer a semi-automated workflow instead, Auto Find + AutoPlace leave the submit click to you.
How to Activate Bot Mode
1. Install TrustGeo from the Chrome Web Store and upgrade to Pro.
2. Navigate to GeoGuessr.com or OpenGuessr.com and start a game.
3. Open the TrustGeo side panel — the Bot Mode section appears automatically on either site.
4. Set your desired duration (1-120 minutes).
5. Click the play button to start the bot.
6. Watch the bot play rounds automatically, or minimize and do something else.
You can stop the bot at any time by clicking the pause button. The status will show "Stopped · X rounds" with the total rounds completed.
The Most Advanced GeoGuessr Automation
Bot Mode is the culmination of TrustGeo's automation features. It combines coordinate extraction, reverse geocoding, AutoPlace pin placement, and intelligent UI navigation into a single hands-free system. No other GeoGuessr tool or hack extension offers this level of automation.
Start with the free plan to test TrustGeo's core features, then upgrade to Pro to unlock Bot Mode, AutoPlace, Auto Find, Score Range, all AI models, and unlimited guesses.
