1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and TrustGeo ("TrustGeo", "we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the TrustGeo browser extension, website, APIs, and any associated services (collectively, the "Service").
By clicking "Add to Chrome", installing the extension, creating an account, or otherwise accessing the Service, you represent that:
- You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms;
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- You meet the eligibility requirements set forth in Section 3;
- You agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you are using TrustGeo on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" shall include both you personally and the organization.
2. Description of Service
TrustGeo is a browser extension designed for use with the online geography game GeoGuessr (geoguessr.com). The Service provides the following capabilities:
- Real-time coordinate extraction: Intercepting and parsing geолocation data from GeoGuessr's game API responses to identify the exact GPS coordinates of the current round's panorama location.
- Interactive map display: Visualizing the extracted coordinates on an embedded map interface within the extension's side panel.
- Reverse geocoding: Converting raw coordinates into human-readable address information (street, city, country) using the OpenStreetMap Nominatim API.
- AI-assisted geographic analysis: Sending location context to AI language models (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek) to generate geographic hints and analysis to assist users in identifying or learning about the location.
- Auto Find (Pro): Automatically triggering the analysis process when a new GeoGuessr round begins, without requiring manual user input.
TrustGeo is provided as-is and functionality may vary depending on updates to GeoGuessr's platform, changes to third-party APIs, or browser updates. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.
Important note regarding GeoGuessr's Terms of Service: TrustGeo is an independent third-party tool. Use of TrustGeo may conflict with GeoGuessr's own Terms of Service. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with GeoGuessr's policies. TrustGeo assumes no responsibility for any action taken by GeoGuessr against your account as a result of using our extension.
3. Eligibility
To use TrustGeo, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
- You must not be located in a country subject to a Canadian, United States, or European Union government embargo, or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country.
- You must not be listed on any Canadian, United States, or European Union government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must not have been previously suspended or removed from the Service by TrustGeo.
If you do not meet these eligibility requirements, you must not use the Service. We reserve the right to verify compliance with these requirements and to terminate accounts where eligibility cannot be confirmed.
4. Account Registration & Security
4.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of TrustGeo, you must create an account using a valid email address. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update your information if it changes. You may only create one account per person.
4.2 Passwordless Authentication
TrustGeo uses a passwordless email verification system. When you log in, a one-time verification code is sent to your registered email address. You agree not to share your verification codes with any third party. Each code is valid for 10 minutes and is invalidated immediately upon use. You are responsible for maintaining the security of access to your email account.
4.3 Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, regardless of whether such activity was authorized by you. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify us immediately at contact@auth.specimen.website. TrustGeo will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized account access.
4.4 Account Sharing Prohibition
Each TrustGeo account is for a single individual user only. Sharing your account, session tokens, or credentials with other users — including for the purpose of circumventing usage limits — is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing
5.1 Free Tier
TrustGeo offers a Free plan that allows up to 3 analysis requests ("guesses") per calendar week, with access to the DeepSeek R1 AI model, interactive map view, and reverse geocoding. The Free plan is subject to change at TrustGeo's sole discretion with reasonable notice.
5.2 Pro Subscription
The TrustGeo Pro plan is available for a monthly subscription fee of $5.00 USD per month. Pro subscribers receive up to 10,000 analysis requests per month, access to all supported AI models (including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek), Auto Find mode, and priority support. Pricing is subject to change with at least 30 days written notice to the registered email address.
5.3 Billing and Payment
All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize TrustGeo to charge your selected payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide. Taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction and will be calculated at checkout.
5.4 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, your Pro access will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free tier. TrustGeo does not offer prorated refunds for partial months. Exceptions may be made at our sole discretion for documented technical failures on our part that rendered the Service entirely unusable for an extended period.
5.5 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable retry attempts, your account may be downgraded to the Free tier. You remain responsible for any unpaid amounts.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
By using TrustGeo, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, reverse engineering, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code, algorithms, or trade secrets of TrustGeo.
- Abuse of quotas: Creating multiple accounts, sharing accounts, using automated scripts, bots, or other means to circumvent usage limits or quotas.
- Misrepresentation: Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Unauthorized access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to TrustGeo's systems, servers, databases, or networks, or attempting to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Redistribution: Sublicensing, selling, reselling, renting, leasing, transferring, or otherwise commercially exploiting access to TrustGeo without our express written permission.
- Harmful content: Using the AI analysis features to generate, solicit, or distribute harmful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or illegal content.
- Legal violations: Using the Service in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Interference: Introducing malicious code, viruses, or other harmful materials into the Service or using the Service to attack other users or third-party systems.
TrustGeo reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this policy and to suspend or terminate accounts where violations are confirmed, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 TrustGeo's Rights
TrustGeo and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all intellectual property rights. This includes, without limitation, the extension's source code, design, interface, branding, logos, documentation, and all proprietary functionality. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their own respective terms of service and privacy policies. TrustGeo is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
TrustGeo's functionality may be disrupted without notice if GeoGuessr modifies its platform, API structure, or terms of service in ways that interfere with our extension's operation. TrustGeo will make commercially reasonable efforts to restore compatibility in such circumstances, but makes no guarantees regarding uptime or feature continuity.
